In-House Production 2016 to 2018
From 2016 to 2018, DPAC’s in-house productions evolved in ambition and depth, championing bold collaborations and contemporary Malaysian stories with a growing artistic voice.
DPAC’s in-house productions entered a phase of deeper artistic exploration and expanded collaboration. Building on the foundation laid in earlier years, this period was marked by greater experimentation in form, genre, and interdisciplinary storytelling.
Local creators were given space to push boundaries, while DPAC continued to support works that were culturally grounded yet globally resonant. The productions reflected a maturing voice in Malaysia’s performing arts scene—bold, reflective, and increasingly diverse. This era affirmed DPAC’s role not only as a presenter but as a committed producer of distinctive Malaysian works that challenged, inspired, and connected.
