I have a dream…

Performed by 7 young outstanding student dancers from the Dancer's Training Programme Classical Ballet Season 2013. With a view to cultivate artistic exchanges, high quality international dance artists from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Japan has been invited for the purpose of collaborative residencies and to provide dancers training in professional practices. There were many wonderful pieces in To Dream a Ballerina’s Dream such as Giselle, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, The Swan Lake and Le Corseire.

La vitesse complexe  – August 2013    Presented by Mauvais Chausson Dance Theatre

In the complex velocity, we keep migrating.

Performed by two great dancers, firstly, Wong Jyh Shyong, Malaysian, former dancer of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, he went to Taiwan to pursue his dance dream and he is currently as the Artistic Director of DPAC. Secondly, Lim Yen-Ching, Taiwanese, former dancer of Hofesh Shecter, she is the dancer of Akram Khan Company currently. They will look back at their own cultural, in the efforts for a long time, their expectation and confusion will turn into dance and confront them on the stage.

2 dancers, explore nomadic modern life, and draw on collaboration with new music by celebrated gamelan composer Susan Sarah John. They have come together to create a fusion of contemporary dance and traditional new music. Come and experience this cool new world of speed and travel with us.

In A Space Of Time 
– September 2013       Presented by DPAC Dance Company

In a

In the midst of lost Time, we only have memories, both bitter and sweet.

Performed by 6 talented young dancers who are from different nationalities - Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia respectively.  They will excellently interpret time in their own way and audiences may find their pace of life as similarly portrayed by the dancers, fast or slow, or both. Choreographed by Wong Jyh Shyong, former dancer of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre and accompanied by the new music by famed musician Ng Chor Guan to create a fusion of contemporary dance.
