Mirco Bit Workshop For Youth (FOC)

icro:bit Workshop For Youth
by DPAC & ICOSA Tech

Damansara Performing Arts Centre (DPAC) and ICOSA Tech is conducting a STEAM workshop using BBC Micro:bit. Children are invited to participate in the upcoming <“I am a micro:bit programmer”>, a 60-minute workshop where they learn about programming with a micro-controller, which is essential knowledge for the 21st century. The software that is being used is Microsoft Block Editor.

The workshop will be conducted in two different sessions to cater for various age groups, particularly for children who are new to programming. We will also host another training in the near future to cater for those who are already well-versed in programming.

The workshop includes a quick introduction of the hardware followed by basic software coding. There will be a practical session where the children will have an opportunity to write a series of codes that interact with the physical world (such as shaking the micro:bit).
